Waterproofing

Waterproofing materials

Although ceramic tiles are completely waterproof, leaks can occur over time if the joints between them deteriorate. Waterproofing the area before installing tiles and wet areas, such as shower trays and bathtubs, as well as humid or wet areas near the basin and toilet, is therefore critical.

A quick and safe process

Waterproofing ceramic tile joints and areas where water is present increases the useful life of the bathroom’s structure and ensures a properly conditioned space in the home.

Moisture can be a significant source of health problems, even when it’s not visible. This is because the pathogens it contains are present in the environment and can come into contact with the human body via inhalation or touch.

Waterproofing effectively prevents moisture and involves a process that is quick to execute and does not need readjustments over time.

High-quality products

In order to correctly waterproof the space, it is essential to use high-quality products which guarantee optimal and long-lasting results.

We work with products such as Imperbox and Imperband for waterproofing bathrooms. The first is a ready-to-use waterproofing paste that is especially recommended for waterproofing indoor plasterboard. The second, Imperband, is a waterproof laminate specifically designed for indoor tiles and ceramic flooring.
