anti-slip

Anti-slip finish for large projects

Anti-slip versions of the ceramic floor tile collections have been created using Nanoker technology, developed by PORCELANOSA Group, producing floors with long-lasting slip prevention capabilities, a pleasant texture and which require simple maintenance.

Non-slip flooring is designed for indoor and outdoor spaces and features Nanoker technology that provides durability and safety conditions for longer.

Nanoker technology for anti-slip floors

The Nanoker system is developed through PORCELANOSA Group’s collaboration with the Ceramic Technology Institute (ITC), a worldwide benchmark institution in the field of research and innovation in ceramics, allowing for a nanostructured surface that adds a smooth and uniform texture to the tile.

This specific technology enables the original colour tone of the piece to be conserved, preventing the whitish appearance acquired by some anti-slip finishes on the market. What’s more, its anti-slip properties make it more durable and safe, as well as offering resistance to chemical agents and impacts.

These features make it an ideal floor tile for exterior architectural settings and highly-transited areas with a higher need for anti-slip capabilities.

Advantages of using ceramic in floor tiles

When choosing the decoration of a space’s floors and walls, project planners should bear in mind that ceramic wall and floor tiling is one of the safest materials used in construction as it is deemed to be non-combustible. It is a highly versatile material which, due to its high durability and resistance, can be integrated into projects ranging from interiors, exteriors, residential and commercial spaces or highly-transited areas.

Maintenance and cleaning are easy and can be done using domestic processes. Its exceptional resistance to high temperatures, chemicals and aggressive atmospheric agents, as well as a great capacity for thermal and electrical insulation, provide this highly-efficient material with added value.
