A space to reconnect and discover PORCELANOSA in Guangzhou

The multinational’s new showroom offers a sensory experience that allows visitors to discover all the possibilities of its products and materials.

Guangzhou is one of the most dynamic and effervescent cities in China, a commercial and innovation hub where leading firms and sectors from all over the world have established a presence. In this context, PORCELANOSA Group has recently opened a new showroom in the Louvre Furnishing Art Center.

This amazing space, designed by the Chinese studio ZHJS Design, whose international brand is Freely Build, has been developed in collaboration with the local developer Wode. Liu Xiao, head of the studio, explains that this project was born with a very clear objective to offer “To boldly adopt a combination of minimalist and modern styles, respecting the philosophy that PORCELANOSA Group applies in all its projects.”

A minimalist showroom

PORCELANOSA Group’s new showroom in Guangzhou offers a modern and minimalist style, marked by right angles and careful lighting. The distribution of the different elements (furniture, openings…) makes access and contact with the large format pieces of XTONE and Porcelanosa intuitive and organic.

The entrance is defined by a mirror that visually extends the floor to infinity and by a suspended wall that creates open spaces that encourage curiosity. This layout facilitates the flow of people and enhances their perception compared to larger surface area models. “PORCELANOSA Group has a wide range of products with delicate textures that provide details and enrich the different areas of a home,” says Liu Xiao.

Marble effect

During the tour, the visitor will find rooms that merge different finishes and nuances, creating an effect of continuity with marble aesthetics as the centerpiece. Combinations such as Paonazzo Biondo Silk, with subtle shades of brown; and Viola Rosse Silk, with pink tones, both from XTONE.

In the same vein, lighting also plays a major role in reinforcing the contrast between the textures of the different pieces. This is the case in another room where XTONE Liem Dark Nature on the ceiling is mixed with Porcelanosa’s Stripe Berna Caliza and Mosaico Prada Acero ceramic tiles and Alpi Verde Polished XTONE sintered stone on the countertop.

The spaces have been created with intention to generating a fluid connection between the different areas, allowing for seamless transit. In this way, certain atmospheres are emphasized, such as that which dominates the set formed by the green XTONE worktop and the rectified Stripe Berna Caliza ceramic cladding by Porcelanosa.

Another highlight in some rooms is the interplay between dark tones (black, stone gray) and softer lighting. As well as the small staircases that facilitate access between some rooms.

Technology as the main focus

Porcelanosa Group’s new space in Guangzhou is the first showroom to employ smart interactive displays with sintered mineral pieces. For Liu Xiao, “Everything has been thoroughly studied and researched, and every detail is related to how the technology applied this material is displayed: a sliding cabinet, the entrance to an office, the air conditioning outlet…”. Technology at the service of aesthetics “that adheres to the concept of a return to nature, allowing visitors to travel back to the original landscape, as the materials present the purest side of nature, with colors that bring people back to that environment.”

The showroom is one in which every detail is used to customize the installation of the pieces and to make their contemplation as comfortable and functional as possible. “We want customers to understand in depth both the design of the space and the solutions provided, to feel all the options in a more intuitive way,” says Xiao.

Wealth and variety of materials

Porcelanosa Group has created a space that highlights the richness and variety of its materials. In this sense, Huang Haizhen, promoter of the project and head of Wode, states that “in 20 years of experience in the selection of materials, PORCELANOSA Group’s products have impressed me from the first moment. Each piece is delicate and does not overwhelm the visitor, with placement that helps maintain the atmosphere of the showroom.”

“From the very beginning of the project, our team was extremely attentive to respecting their business and humanistic philosophy in striving for the highest quality products, which coincides perfectly with our own philosophy. When you enter a space created for PORCELANOSA Group products, you really feel that you are in nature, you can find the relaxation and silence that this setting confers”, concludes Haizhen.
