El I Porcelanosa Invitational Golf destacó tanto por la emocionante competición en el campo como por las experiencias que brindó a todos sus participantes
The first edition of the Porcelanosa Invitational Golf International Tournament was recently hosted by El Campo de Golf El Saler, in Valencia. Setenta y seis jugadores de siete países diferentes compartieron una semana de deporte y experiencias únicas.
A visit to Porcelanosa Group's central facilities and sampling of traditional cuisine at Albufera de Valencia were the perfect prelude to the long-awaited tournament in El Saler.
The tournament's seventy-six players showed off their talent and sporting spirit on the fairways of El Saler golf course. But the excitement didn't end on the green.
After the tournament, chef Nacho Barcos demonstrated his prowess with a show-cooking event in a Gamadecor Offroad kitchen. Esta cocina, pensada para espacios exteriores, fue instalada al aire libre junto al tee del hoyo 1, escenario de la ceremonia de entrega de trofeos a los ganadores. Guests got the fabulous opportunity to sample the chef's culinary creations in a unique setting, surrounded by the golf course and lush local vegetation.
The excitement ramped up for the awards ceremony, with a big reveal of the players with the best strikes and scores.
First place in Category A: Juan Manuel Lemus de los Ríos was the overall winner of Category A, receiving an exclusive Porcelanosa jacket and TAG Heuer Golf smartwatch.
Second place in Category A: Mexican player Enrique Asao Shibayama Murakami came in second place, collecting his trophy.
First place in Category B: Rodrigo Romero de la Mora from Mexico won Category B, and was awarded an exclusive Porcelanosa jacket and a TAG Heuer Golf smartwatch.
Second place in Category B: Ka Chun Fan of the UK was the runner-up in Category B, receiving a trophy in recognition of his outstanding performance.
Best Player: Valerie Germigon of France received the highest score, taking home a PorcelanosaIn Experience in Ibiza.
Nearest the pin: Raúl Flich of Spain demonstrated the highest precision, winning a Winemaking Experience at the Marqués de Murrieta winery.
Longest Drive: Anthony Burton of the USA executed the longest drive, winning a PorcelanosaIn Experience in Cartagena de Indias.
The day before the tournament, event participants had the chance to sample traditional Valencian culture. The glorious sunny day was ideal for the culinary journey and tour of the region's unspoiled nature. Guests took to the waters of Albufera Lagoon for a boat ride surrounded by the picturesque landscapes that have inspired a host of artists over the centuries. The tour came to a sensational conclusion at La Barraca de l’Alcatí, a restaurant in a setting typical of the Valencian region's architectural heritage.
In short, the 1st Porcelanosa Invitational International Golf Tournament was a resounding success, combining the excitement of the sport with truly unforgettable experiences.
