XII Porcelanosa Awards Finalists: Fashion as a collective experience

Architect Enric Martí Arenós has built a multidisciplinary space, blending the new prêt-à-porter proposals with art exhibitions and conferences.

Drawing on the work of artist Javier Carvajal, this project offers a different way of buying based on the interaction between product and consumer.

Architect Enric Martí Arenós has designed a multidisciplinary space, blending art and fashion with workshops and conferences. This is a fresh idea that reached the final of the XII Porcelanosa Awards in the Professional Future Design category for its approach and new design.

Drawing on the work of architect Javier Carvajal, this project is split into two levels, seeking to build customer loyalty through open-plan and interrelated rooms. “This commercial project demonstrates the enterprising philosophy and the shopping experience with activities such as fashion shows and workshops”, defined Martí Arenós.

For all audiences

On the bottom floor there are two areas. The first is dedicated to exhibitions, predominated by light tones and large windows. It is a structure that –in turn– connects with the workshop area, open to the outside to enable passers-by to see the interior of the space.

At the top is a vast cafeteria predominated by cream colours such as beige and white, along with darker structures. In order to achieve this balanced contrast, Porcelanosa’s Prada Acero (HIGHKER) collection has been used. These parts combine with the extra-thin porcelain XLight Edwood Honey from Urbatek, which covers this area’s beams and cabinets.

The kitchen belongs to the E7.30 Roble Noche from Gamadecor, the cooking area of which has been designed with Urbatek’s porcelain XLIGHT Nylo Black.

The bathroom of the cafeteria plays with volumes and textures. As is the case with the Faces mirror at L’Antic Colonial, where its geometry and metallic finish resizes the capacity of the space next to the NK Concept taps by Noken.
