Two homes in Cyprus exuding comfort and refinement

Open and spacious layouts, panoramic windows, functional furnishings and a décor scheme integrated with the space

Architect Olena Sharapova designed these two villas in Limasol, Cyprus, achieving a glamorous and vintage aesthetic. The different orientations of the façades combined with solutions from PORCELANOSA Group lend the homes a wealth of character.

Villa Primavera: decorative expression

Each of the decorative elements in this open-plan layout successfully emphasises the harmony of the interior space whilst simultaneously connecting with the exterior. Olena Sharapova was keen to usher in the impressive natural environment, making it one more element of the project. Hence the vast panoramic windows located at the upper level of the property.

Villa Primavera is a two-storey building: the lower level is made for socialising. The kitchen (by Gamadecor featuring an XTONE® worktop and wall tiles, and the Noa-R and Noa-L Minnesota Moka décor scheme by Porcelanosa installed using Butech materials), living room and dining room are located on the ground floor. The façades open to provide a connection to the swimming pool, jacuzzi and gardens.

In terms of interior design the furnishings stand out for their functionality, with an emphasis on rich textures and bright colours to give the interior an incredibly unique and sophisticated feel.

In the more private area the look is far from uniform. Instead, they opted for a more eclectic approach, with a play on surfaces, finishes and other features in the bedrooms and bathrooms. These include Gamadecor furnishings, copper taps, mirrors and sanitaryware from the Urban, Tono, Lounge and Round collections by Noken, and Gravity mosaic Aluminium 3D Hexagon Copper tiles by L'Antic Colonial.

Villa Chancy Residence: a contemporary interior design

According to architect Sharapova, "The client's personality and lifestyle are the starting point for the creative process". This property demonstrates it. As well as boasting an exclusive location, it has been designed with a host of safe, cutting-edge and energy-efficient solutions.

The interior has a subtly glamorous aesthetic, and features unexpectedly classic bathroom sanitaryware and taps by Noken. This stylistic trick only adds to this already fascinating project. Villa Chancy features a harmonious blend of the stone mosaic and Piano Black collections by L'Antic Colonial in the bathrooms, where they opted for a classic modern style. In the bedroom area natural wood interior design reigns supreme (with Classic Ebano Luxor by L'Antic Colonial), with leather accents to add warmth to the room.
