The 9th PORCELANOSA Grupo Awards Finalists: The dynamic modernism by Manuel Salvador regarding Forward-looking Projects in the Professionals’ category

PORCELANOSA Grupo‘s showroom of the future has been the subject which Manuel Salvador Muñoz opted for in order to take part in the 9th Porcelanosa Architecture and Interior Design Awards. It is because of this project that the Valencian designer was one of the finalists in his category. His concept-store brings together both the innovation and the exclusivity of PORCELANOSA Grupo’s products and materials in the form of a unique restaurant model. Furthermore, one can find a common denominator throughout all the atmospheres: That is the one of curved lines combining with the quality and elegance of the materials.

The exterior: The foundations of a futuristic concept-store

Both uniqueness and movement turn out to be two of the concepts defining the exterior of Manuel Salvador’s concept-store. The roof of the building is the result of a 3D curve-shaped figure, showing both a modern and streamlined style. Thus, a different design is achieved and the interiors are provided with more spaciousness.

The roof of the building is made up of five differentiated pieces characterised by the fine modern touch of both their textures and shapes: the framework, the balcony cantilever, the closing of the main entrance, the surroundings and the decorative elements of the top part of the shell.

In the exterior area it is worth highlighting high-resistance materials such as the Oxo  Mosaic ceramic wall tile in a white colour by Porcelanosa, or the vinyl flooring by L’Antic Colonial, both of them characterised by their versatility regarding unfavourable weather conditions and high traffic. One of the other materials which it is worth mentioning, both in the façade and in the exterior layout of Manuel Salvador’s project, turns out to be the state-of-the-art KRION® Solid Surface mineral compact. It can be thermoformed (in curved sections) and is available in almost any colour. In this case, both versions from KRION® Blanco and KRION® Grey are combined together to make the excellent shapes become a reality. The swimming-pools, which also play an important role regarding the concept-store’s access, are manufactured with the Arizona Caliza wall tile by Porcelanosa, and as well as this, the concept-store has been decorated with sophisticated LED lighting.

The PORCELANOSA Grupo’s showroom: Products give meaning to the project

Manuel Salvador, in the showroom, has created an interior design where he points out the different spaces in a house where the exceptional nature of the designs leads the way. In this area it is possible to see a sample of the latest designs by the eight firms from the PORCELANOSA Grupo, and amongst others, once again highlighting the KRION® acrylic stone, which has been combined with the Misuri Natural ceramic wood panels by Venis. With regard to the floor tiles, in some areas, the choice has been the linkfloor by L’Antic Colonial in combination with the large-format full-body porcelain tile by Urbatek.

Ideal materials for both high-traffic and demanding spaces, such as a PORCELANOSA store.

The restaurant: A distinctive culinary experience

Both contemporaneity and dynamism are intermingled in the restaurant with the preservation of privacy. The KRION® Solid Surface again provides this area with its versatility, thus, integrating itself into both the structure and furniture.

With regard to the wall tiles, once again ceramic designs are shown, such as the Arizona and Oxo Deco Blanco, both of them by Porcelanosa.

On the other hand, and regarding the kitchen and bathrooms, it is worth highlighting the sophisticated products by Noken and Gamadecor, both in bathroom furniture, and taps, kitchen taps or sanitaryware, all of them provide the warm and cosy interior space with innovation.

In conclusion, it is a project where every single product and material has been perfectly studied in detail, with the modern touch which every design and atmosphere requires.
