The 9th PORCELANOSA Grupo Awards Finalists: Innovation Centre with KRION® in Completed Projects

In the metropolitan area of Santiago, Chile, one of the finalists at the 9th PORCELANOSA Grupo Awards in its Completed Projects category can be found. It is an Innovation and Collaboration Centre, an area designed for developing solutions, which impact on the future of mining.

In an area of 270m2, the Magialiquid studio had to design an area to accommodate a large number of uses, from conferences with customers and clients to technical seminars, training and skills, workshops, and so on. A centre that is perfectly adapted to the needs of each situation, but clearly reflecting the values of the company: high technology and innovation.

In fact, to symbolize also this innovation in the selection of materials, the team from Magialiquid wanted to have the cutting-edge KRION® Solid Surface compact mineral. A resistant, thermocurvable and low porosity project that met the needs of the design, while guaranteeing full adaptability to a demanding project like this.

Inspired by the rocks fractionation and answering a metaphor for the company services, a scenario was created for different uses from mobile sculptural elements in three-dimensional format. The KRION® acrylic stone in its 1100 Snow White version was used on all surfaces of the area, which in contrast to the touch screens allowed for the reinforcing of the image in a high-tech centre.

In short, a futuristic style centre that combines the moving geometric compositions, and furthermore, it takes full advantage of KRION®’s virtues in order to enhance the brand’s image, along with its values.
