The Butech firm from PORCELANOSA Groupjoins the fight against climate change with its ventilated façades and the optimisation of natural resources. As part of the Eco Conscious Green Programme, these pieces allow for a saving of 25% on the buildings' energy consumption and improved acoustic insulation in each space.
All ventilated façades systems from this firm have a separation chamber or cavity between the building's envelope and the exterior cladding. This, in turn, optimises the thermal insulation of each project, as well as hygiene because it limits moisture condensations inside the building and facilitates the movement of air in each area.
As it requires almost no intervention and it is resistant to solar radiation, only minimal maintenance is needed, and it speeds up the greening of buildings with the use of sustainable materials such as the compact mineral Krion®, the large-dimension porcelain tile XLight and the PORCELANOSA Group ceramic.

Designed by EM&A Espinosa de los Monteros & Arquitectos, the Nexia residence in San Sebastián de los Reyes (Madrid) forms a kind of sustainable bubble with the ventilated façade by Butech and the large-format technical porcelain XLight Code White in combination with the collection Concrete Black Nature. These materials improve the thermal resistance of the building and its appearance is not altered by either extreme temperatures or human impacts.
The façade of the Olabeaga residential block in Bilbao was refurbished in 2017 with sustainable materials that respect the traditional architecture of the area. To achieve this, the developer Amaralekua and the Butech technicians designed a customised solution with the lightweight porcelain XLight Concrete Beige Nature and Nox Corten Nature from Urbatek as the main collections.
With a format of 100 cm x 300 cm and a thickness of 3.5 mm, this façade improved the original structure of the building, giving it a more avant-garde air with an open structure in which the beige of the façade contrasts harmoniously with the glazed windows on each floor.
