Estudio Lamela designs 'Madnum', the largest project in the history of Colonial, with industrialised bathrooms by Porcelanosa Group

Spanning an area of 90,000 square metres, the campus located on Calle Méndez Álvaro has been designed using the latest trends in construction

The mega-project, which is scheduled for final completion in early 2024, includes office space, housing, retail and green areas. With a strong sustainable component, the complex proposes to implement a plan of measures for the enhancement of urban biodiversity, among other actions.

Innovation by Monobath

Madnum includes a space made up of a total of 374 homes distributed over nine floors, with a surface area of 30,000 square metres, complete with 6,400 square metre garden area for the exclusive use of the residents.

Butech, through PORCELANOSA Offsite, the industrialised solutions business line, will supply the Monobath modules to the residential project. These are bathrooms entirely made in Porcelanosa's new automated industrialised construction plant and ready for installation on site. The Monobath equipment for the apartments comes from the firms Krion®, Noken and Porcelanosa.

Colonial has opted for the PORCELANOSA Group system, which has numerous advantages: it offers the best interior finishes, ensures on-time delivery, reduces the amount of waste on site and allows for cost control.

Strategic and up-and-coming location

The Méndez Álvaro area is becoming the new landmark in the real estate market. In a setting that is fully consolidated within the M30 ring road, just five minutes from Atocha station and with excellent public and private transport links, the new project is located at number 61.

Of Madnum's 90,000 square metres of above-ground buildable area, 56,000 square metres will be given over to offices and 5,000 to retail space, in order to offer new services to the whole area.

Designed by Estudio Lamela, Madnum will be the largest project in the history of Colonial, reflecting the Spanish real estate company's commitment to sustainability. The near-zero energy consumption of the building (NZEB), the use of renewable energies, the air quality management installations, the Monobath industrialised construction systems and the choice of materials from the PORCELANOSA Partners Ecologic programme (ceramic floors including up to 95% recycled materials) are just some of the innovations in the area of responsible construction that have been incorporated into the building complex.
