The French city of Lorette, located in the Saint-Etienne district has a new town hall building and the through-body porcelain tile from  Urbatek has been chosen for the flooring in all of its rooms.

The architectural studio chosen to carry out this project has been the Atelier d’Architecture Rivat, in charge of adapting a contemporary building in the city centre to the new thermal necessities and technologies in the town hall. The Project includes office spaces and reception areas for various events such as the official ceremony celebrations, whose main request was that the materials were tough enough up against the large influx of people that enter and leave these rooms each day.The architects opted for the through-body porcelain tile from URBATEK, the firm form the PORCELANOSA Grupo, because of its characteristics and the possibilities that its big format pieces offer.Furthermore, the texture of this material allows for the transmitting of a sober and elegant image this is desired for a project of these characteristics. For the main areas, such as the lobby, the ceremony hall, the meeting rooms and the rest of the areas with a high-traffic of people, Max Black Nature in a 29.7×59.6cm format in a dark colour was preferred, which ensures both easy maintenance and cleaning.Furthermore, in the bathrooms, the Madagascar porcelain tile from Venis has been chosen in a beige colour in a smaller format, in particular 33.3×59.2cm. This model has a lighter and clearer texture, ideal because of its excellent versatility and adaptability in all types of spaces.A practical project that provides its users with all the necessities, and one which manages to combine elegance and sobriety with resistance and practicality.
