The Clare and the Sky over New York

Designed by Manuel Glas Architects, this 19-storey open-plan building includes PORCELANOSA Group Premium collections in each of its 30 apartments.

With an open-plan structure containing 30 de-luxe apartments, The Clare which reaches up into the New York sky above Upper East Side, has been built using PORCELANOSA Grupo. collections.

Designed by the Manuel Glas Architects studio, the core of this 19-storey building offers stunning views of the Big Apple thanks to its enormous picture windows and cutting-edge façade. Its open symmetrical lines filter the light entering the building, connecting life inside it to the rhythm of a city that never sleeps.

A façade open to the city

As in the Jenga tower game, the 2,508 square metre ventilated façade consists of symmetrical volumes in an irregular pattern, specially designed for the project to create an Opus pseudoisodomum, with interlocking rows of tiles. The hidden fastening system, created and supervised by the façade Department of Porcelanosa USA, lightens the main block with large format Porcelanosa technical tiles in cream, emphasising the industrial style that has characterised New York’s architecture in recent years.

The neutral style is enhanced with PAR-KER® Anthracite ceramic wood with Antislip finish (Porcelanosa). This paving brings warmth to the terraces and is held in place using the Butech Plots system.

The open space approach is also evident inside the building, where the white bathrooms have panoramic views of the city with ceramic flooring that reproduces the lightness and texture of white Carrara marble. The two rooms are both fitted with geometric washbasins and mixer taps, combining classical and modern touches throughout.
