PORCELANOSA Grupo, done by KRION® and the building systems by Butech, has carried out a new impressive project in Montpellier, France: the Sud de France shopping centre.
To be precise, both firms have worked on the exterior wall-tiling of the building. It is a centre which has been created by numerous agro-food companies and which will work as a space for both the purchase and the sale of goods, ranging from fruit and vegetables; to sea products or spices; as well as the most prestigious wines from the South of France.
This is the ventilated façade in the Sud de France shopping centre
With regard to the specifications of the façade, which consists of an area of approximately 700m2, it is made up of a number of prefabricated panels and manufactured with KRION®, which are pre-installed on metal frames. In order to anchor them to the façade, the innovative K-fix system has been the choice.
With the aim of providing the façade with both an impressive and long-lasting appearance, the people in charge of the project, and this unique ventilated façade have opted for the Snow White 1100 model manufactured with KRION®, in other words, the colour par excellence of the state-of-the-art mineral compact, which is combined with the colour red in order to achieve an outstanding chromatic effect. The design of the façade also includes a set of squares, which on one hand, allows the light go through the façade, and on the other hand, is the ideal partner for the windows.
The Solid Surface is a totally manipulated and thermocurved material, thus, these designs can be carried out, even on large-scale projects.
The company in charge of designing the project has been the renowned A+ Architecture Studio. It has also counted on the collaboration of both the professionals and technicians from Butech, who have carried out both the installation of the façade and the technical advice.
