PORCELANOSA Group Projects: Casino Gran Vía in Madrid

From the old Commercial Circle Headquarters to a Casino for Gambling. 4,500 square metres spread out on four floors house the most extensive and innovative range of gambling in the Spanish capital.

This is the Casino Gran Vía in Madrid, a space that has been totally renovated by Touza Arquitectos  architectural studio in collaboration with the work by the interior designers Steelman & Partners  who opted for the installation of exclusive materials by PORCELANOSA Grupo, whose quality ensures an impeccable customer service in line with the philosophy of the gaming room.

The building was built in 1918 with an articulated structure around a spectacular central atrium crowned with a glass vault and a majestic staircase of great presence. The current refurbishment is designed with the utmost respect for the architectural, historical and spatial values of the building, restoring its original splendour and charm.

The combination of colours and textures, white, black and gold, reliefs and ornaments, with furniture make a space that combines the essence of the casino and gambling with the classic spirit of the building.

A walk through the building leads inevitably to GV24 Artist’s Café Bar which has been decorated in a more modern and current form by using the Extreme Light compact mineral by KRION® in a bar of sinuous forms and double curves, a formal complexity exploiting maximum versatility of the Solid Surface of the firm, and furthermore, it includes a backlight LED system that allows changes with regard to the atmosphere through a brilliant use of light and colour.

The bathrooms have also been equipped with products by PORCELANOSA Grupo, with the Retro blanco series by L’Antic Colonial in wall tiles together with the bathroom equipment by Noken. Equipment that is able to maximize space has been chosen, particularly the Hotels series timed taps and the wall hung sanitaryware of the Architect collection.
