The architecture studio and the PORCELANOSA Group are designing a dreamlike space with backlit tables and LED screens. The idea is to turn this Korean restaurant into a true gastronomic experience.
Spanning over 400 m2 and established as an icon of Korean culture in the heart of Paris, the Soon Grill restaurant fuses the art of Seungmu dance with the traditional gastronomy of this country through a sensory spectacle. It seeks to stimulate the taste buds of its diners with with its tasting menu and create a memorable experience through sight, sound, touch and smell.
To achieve this, the professionals at AEV Architecture have opted for a design based on textiles with warm tones, natural materials and the original look use of light. This array of flashes and shadows emanates from the large hanging screens, from the lighting that indirectly travels across the ceiling and the boards with backlighting. An innovative concept that provides a distinctive and unique touch to the dining room.
The tables of this restaurant have been created with with the solid surface Krion® Crystal White, from the Royal series. This material, that is soft to the touch and easy to clean and maintain, has antibacterial properties that makes it suitable for direct contact with food. It can also be backlight, allowing the passage of light through its surface. The result is a lighting effect that is original and unique which highlights the exclusive design of this establishment located on the Champs-Élysées.
The amber colour, achieved through quality lighting, is able to highlight the crystal clear particles that adorn the whole Krion® piece, making than the furniture an indispensable element of chef Han's gastronomic presentation.
And the textures of Krion® that reproduce the sediments of natural stones make it the furniture an indispensable element of chef Han's gastronomic presentation.
