PORCELANOSA Group projects: house in La Jolla (San Diego)

PORCELANOSA Group goes that little bit further once again. Today we are going to a house built in La Jolla, one of the best residential areas in the city of San Diego, California, located on the shore of the Pacific. Ed Ku, at Coffinier Ku Desing is responsible for the design of this cosy project, which is a complete architectonic piece of artwork. The privately owned house is distributed on various levels. One of its main qualities is the amount of windows, which lighten up the space and give it a spacious feeling, highlighting the PORCELANOSA Group materials and finishes used for the project. The spacious lobby, paved with the Siena Multi-format parquet, is the main focus of the residence and home to the majestic staircase that leads up to the top floor.Among the open spaces in the house is the living room which has spectacular views. In this space Siena natural wood (multi-format) by L’Antic Colonial was used for the floor and combined with the Zeus Marron ceramic covering by Venis for the chimney. In addition, the blend of colours creates a very attractive and striking contrast, even to the naked eye.The large kitchen is divided in two areas: Microcemento flooring was chosen for the main working area whilst Siena Multi-format parquet was used for the dining area, giving continuity to the different spaces. The Marmi Blanco ceramic covering by Porcelanosa was used in the bathroom on most of the walls and combined with the Tissue Silver model in a metallic- like grey colour, achieving a very modern result which is still elegant and characterises the whole house.
