PORCELANOSA and Caixabank Dualiza promote the Dual vocational training programme in green hydrogen

The vocational training programme was presented on Wednesday at the IES Vicent Castell i Domènech in Castelló, with the participation of multinationals such as bp Energía España, UBE Corporation Europe and Ariema.

Professionalising the VTP to create stable and quality employment that meets the Sustainable Development Goals and promotes young talent in the green hydrogen industry. This is the main goal of the Caixabank Dualiza programme, which Porcelanosa has joined as a collaborating company.

The initiative, presented this Wednesday at the IES Vicent Castell i Domènech in Castelló by its headmaster, Javier Cepirá, and the centre and project coordinators, Marta Arévalo, Ramón Díaz and Virgilio Delgado, is aimed at students of Vicent Castell i Domènech secondary school in Castellò and the Profesor José Luis Graíño de La Rábida integrated public training centre in Huelva who are studying higher level training courses in industrial chemistry and analysis laboratories.

An educational initiative in which multinational companies such as UBE Corporation Europe, bp Energía España and Ariema also participate, whose main representatives also took part in yesterday's public event. Representing Caixabank Dualiza was Ricardo Guillem Guillem and on behalf of the City Council of Castelló was the Councillor for Education, Francesc Mezquita.

A training model with the values of Porcelanosa

With this new form of dual education, the VTP centres set the specific contents of each subject with the involvement of the companies in order to achieve dynamic and quality training in the production of green hydrogen. As a result, the students enrolled in this programme will learn the theory behind the chemical processes linked to sustainable industrial processes in order to go on to apply them in practice at the companies they join. “Es muy positivo que las empresas y los centros educativos nos involucremos en la formación de los jóvenes, porque este tipo de perfiles profesionales son los que van a propiciar ese cambio sostenible con la innovación y el conocimiento especializado como valores de marca”, subraya Antonio Latorre, director de I+D+I de Porcelanosa Grupo.

It is a Dual VTP that integrates scientific, technological and organisational aspects relating to green hydrogen to address the needs of companies in line with the new green policies set out by the EU. This is also the priority of Porcelanosa, whose pedagogical and innovative role in the CaixaBank Dualiza project is to provide all the educational resources and materials at its disposal in order to play an active part in the training and development of future professionals in the sector, thus promoting its programme Porcelanosa Eco for an Effective Green Transition. To do this, it has organised visits to its facilities and production centres, seminars and talks that complement the work groups created between the company and training centre, following the parameters established by the centre coordinator for the correct development of students. “Este proyecto es lo que queremos de la FP, que los centros y las empresas vayamos de la mano para innovar juntos”, remarca Ricardo Guillem Guillem de Caixabank Dualiza.
