The new issue of the Lifestyle magazine: Avant-garde architecture and new ceramic designs for 2019

The 33rd issue of the Lifestyle magazine from the PORCELANOSA Grupo is available from the firm’s showrooms all over the world, and furthermore, it can be downloaded in the web.

In this new issue, we see different trends in architecture and the latest in design and materials, together with the most outstanding constructive projects from 2018.

The presence of the PORCELANOSA Grupo at Cersaie2018 and the latest ceramic designs for the exhibition fair mark the beginning of this new issue of the Lifestyle magazine. In this 33rd issue, we see some of the main 2018 milestones and the predictions for 2019, as well as the international presentation of the new HIGHKER large-format Premium ceramic series from Porcelanosa and: the Metropolitan Nature, Magma Black, Rivoli and Rivoli Gloss floor tiles and wall tiles from Venis. The signature design is still one of the strongest foundations for Noken, which showcased Lignage in the previous edition of Cersaie. These innovative taps designed by the architect, Ramón Esteve, are defined by their refined aesthetic, as well as the new bathroom conception.

Ultralight kitchens manufactured with KRION™

The same applies to both the kitchens and bathrooms from Gamadecor, which had to share the spotlight with the KRION™ mineral compact in bathroom countertops and the Xlight extra-slim porcelain from Urbatek. We are dealing with material which forms a part of the fronts and the Emotions kitchen worktop as well.

KRION™ extended its possibilities with the KRION™ Luxury Series and its new 6mm-thick  sheets.

The Metal Mosaics series and the Rhombus collection from L’Antic Colonial are defined by their copper-coloured metallic tones, as well as their geometric combinations. The firm, Urbatek, developed its Tailored Design concept to make the wide palette of the large-format Xlight porcelain visible, which has been inspired by marble and cement alike. Butech showed itself to be at the forefront of technology with the Premium underfloor heating, which can now be controlled directly from a mobile phone.

Morris Adjmi and the new architecture challenges

Morris Adjmi talks about the challenges of architecture and his achievements throughout his career in an extensive interview. It is worth highlighting the 13 years during which he worked with Aldo Rossi and the MA (Morris Adjmi Architects) foundation in New York in 1997. Adjmi respects the architectural base from the past so that he can see futuristic architecture being improved. This is the reason why his style shows an industrial aesthetic with a modernist base. He is an architect that champions material quality and constructive innovation, which has led him to choosing several products from the PORCELANOSA Grupo for some of his work in New York.

In architectural terms, it is also worth mentioning four projects which have had the aesthetic possibilities and the capacity modernised. They are the following: the Haikou Towers in China, the Royal Hideaway Corales Resort in Tenerife, an elegant loft in Riad in Saudi Arabia, and the SHA Wellness Clinic in the mountain region in Alicante.

Dutch architecture also has a place in this issue. Among its most important representatives, it is worth highlighting Rem Koolhaas and his OMA team: Marcel Wanders, Piet Boon and George Gottl.
