Palacio Helguera: the rebirth of a historic gem

The accommodation, reserved for adults only and consisting of eleven premium rooms, belongs to the Relais & Chateaux hotel association and conveys a different sense of history with its distinguished interior design. The Lignage taps, a collection designed by Ramón Esteve for Noken, takes on special prominence in bathrooms with a gold finish.

Different pieces from the same series have been used to fit out the Palacio Helguera bathrooms, such as toilet buttons, shower heads, and basin and shower taps. In some of the rooms, a chrome finish has been chosen for the same elements.

With its smooth and curved lines, the installation of the Arquitect model (Noken) brings a dose of modernity to these rooms, complementing the taps chosen. The Urban C wall hung toilets by Noken provide the bathroom with lightness, enabling a wider visual perception of the space.

For the refurbishment and redesign of the accommodation, the Durango Bone (Porcelanosa) matt finish model has been used for the bathroom floor tiles and wall coverings, trying to imitate the characteristic stone of the area and bringing a sense of warmth and calm to the space.

In the design, the Pasiegos Valleys and the 'Age of Enlightenment' (18th century literary movement) have been the two main sources of inspiration for the interior designers Malales Martínez Canut (Malmaca Estudio) and María Mas Interiors. Through the interior design, they have managed to evoke and return to the building the air it had at the time of its construction.

This restored palace, hidden among the wildlife of Las Presillas, possesses an artistic and historical heritage that takes us back to the time it was built. A place to disconnect, surrounded by bespoke designs in a picture-perfect landscape.
