MIM Andorra: a boutique hotel with sophisticated accents

The boutique hotel received an award at the latest edition of the Porcelanosa Awards

Exclusivity with classic and sophisticated overtones. The 5-star MIM Andorra hotel has undergone a full refurbishment with PORCELANOSA Group materials. This conveys a contemporary image, as orchestrated by ESTUDIOFAAS.

Exclusivity and warmth

The hotel bedrooms are decorated in exquisite style. The oversize green velvet headboards and indirect lighting dress the room in even more warmth and comfort. Together with the mouldings dressing the ceilings, they add unique texture and depth.

The vinyl floor tiles, Linkfloor Realm Persia (L’Antic Colonial), complete the meticulous interior design of the bedrooms. The wood effect and herringbone adds a touch of charm and personality. The same model has been used in the bathrooms, adding a sense of continuity and spaciousness to the scheme.

In the bathrooms of this boutique hotel, the materials and designs used lend the spaces an exclusive, sober feel. They opted for Nylo Noir Polished XTONE® in the washbasin area. This model creates a refined play on light and shadow with delicate flecks of gold.

Meanwhile, around the bath (Minimal Oval or New Lounge by Noken) and shower, the striking veins of the Paonazzo Biondo Silk XTONE® gives this zone the perfect elegant finish, made for unwinding and relaxing. Combined with the brushed gold accessories, this gives the room a beautiful sense of harmony. This highlights the Lignage taps, Round towel rail and Rondo shower head, all by Noken.

Awarded by Porcelanosa

Tasked with the redesign of this boutique hotel, architecture studio ESTUDIOFAAS designed a façade composed of large format tiles (Samoa Antracita, by Porcelanosa).

In addition, they created a glazed curtain wall, boasting black tinted mirrored glass and installed with an exposed anchorage system by Butech. The façade design is further enhanced by LED lighting.

To ease the installation process and achieve a perfect finish on the ceramic tiles, they opted for Butech bonding materials (as recommended for each Porcelanosa model), such as Super-Flex S2 adhesive and Butech Colorstuk Especial Dark and White grout.

In this year’s edition of the Porcelanosa Awards for Architecture, Interior Design and Property Development, held at Madrid’s Hotel Mandarín Oriental Ritz, MIM Andorra received the award for the year’s best hotel project.
