Different Ways to Add a Touch of Blue in Your Bathroom

Neutral shades such as beige, white, ivory, black and grey, are the most popular choice for bathrooms due to their contemporary, simple look and their easiness to style. But it shouldn’t mean that adding colour into your bathroom design is totally off-limits. Indeed, it is quite the opposite. The trick is to use them subtly and mixed with whites and other neutrals, achieving a timeless design that will age well for years to come. Keep reading and find out some different ways to add a touch of blue to your bathroom decor.

1. Place blue mosaic tiles in the wall niche

Wall niches are the easiest way to create a style statement in your home. Within the bathroom area, they provide more storage space and also act as a focal point, making your room look modern and fresh. In this regard, we propose you to cover the wall niche with blue mosaic tiles, like the ones in the picture above, and combine them with wood shelves and some greenery. The result is simply amazing. Don’t you think?

Subway tiles, also known as Metro tiles or Underground tiles, are practical and hygienic at the same time. For this reason, they are perfect for wet areas, such as bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. Although they are usually white, subway tiles are available in a great variety of colours and shapes. Therefore, you can use them to create an accent wall or highlight a particular area like the shower, as you can see in this picture.

3. Include a blue vanity unit in your bathroom

Just like in kitchens, blue is very on-trend for bathrooms right now. And not only in terms of tiles but also in terms of furniture. In this regard, blue cabinets are increasing in popularity due to their capacity to give personality to a room. Moreover, as you can see in the picture above, they combine perfectly with white subway tiles and gold fixtures, adding a pop of interest and class to this all-white, minimalist style bathroom.

Last but not least, consider using towels, candles, baskets and vases to adding colour to your bathroom space. Why? They are available in every shade imaginable and are very easy to swap out if you change your mind. This way, you will be able to change bathroom colours to suit your mood whenever you want.
