McLaren's central facilities on the Iberian Peninsula, covering Spain, Portugal and Andorra, are much more than an office space, a dealership and a technical service. It is a place of worship for all motor-racing lovers that contains the history of F1 and the MotoGP World Championships. Modernity and innovation with the PORCELANOSA hallmark.
Cars that were a landmark in their time
The McLaren Barcelona headquarters are a three-storey avant-garde building dedicated to those who love motor-racing and have a passion for speed. A modern building with an exhibition of high-end cars in its basement. For this exclusive area, a highly resistant floor with cement-inspired HIGHKER® Harlem Acero tiles by Porcelanosa was chosen, installed with Butech's fitting and grouting material. This large-format product reduces the number of joins, providing greater continuity, and is also used on the other storeys, in offices, the museum, transit areas and bathrooms. The latter in combination with the Marmi China ceramic cladding by the same firm.
The perfectionism of each McLaren design is reflected in the interior design of the project. It contains numerous unique details, such as the ground-floor staircase shaped like a grandstand, made with PAR-KER ® ceramic parquet flooring by Porcelanosa.
A museum with a lot of history
The "jewel in the crown" is located on the first floor. It contains an impressive museum that brings together the original apparel of the 34 F1 World Champions and the 30 winners of the World MotoGP. The Ayrton Senna collection is of special interest, and comprises a representation of all the racing suits he used in his highly successful career in F1.
Finally, the dealership houses a VIP lounge and the Café de la Rosa. A meeting space where the brand's customers and well-wishers can relax as if they were in the paddock at a major event.
