Porcelanosa Group projects: contemporary housing in Seville

The finishes from the PORCELANOSA Grupo used on the refurbishment of this apartment

The team of architects from Egion has once again banked on the professional finishes from the PORCELANOSA Grupo for its latest projects. In this instance, it is a refurbishment carried out on a house in Andalusia.

The functionality of open spaces

The project is about the renovation of a house which covers some 160m2 with a domestic programme which looks for bigger interconnected spaces, which avoid excesses and undue compartmentalisation of the original house. This leads to its fixtures and finishes being updated with a style that is much more contemporary.

In this new disposition of the rooms, the living room and the dining room have been joined together, with a transition towards the kitchen which is totally joined together, allowing for the natural incoming light to be enjoyed. This space can be freed up through a large sliding glass door which comes with a hidden rail.

In these places, the kitchen, the toilet and the bathrooms, we have the highly resistant Rhin porcelain floor tile by Venis. The same material has been used as a wall tile in the main toilet, which is perfect in these types of demanding spaces with so much humidity.

Combination of textures

In the guest toilet and bathroom, more materials from the firm have been used. This is the case of Newport White, the cement style wall tile; Nara Beige, which has subtle curves and an earthy look to its design; or Hampton Brown, which simulates the look of wood and it increases greatly the warmth of the room. Organic aesthetic pieces inspired by nature.
