Like a window on the sea, "El Mirador de Alcanada" has panoramic views of the intense blue Mediterranean thanks to the sloping terrain, the pure lines of its structure and its privileged location on the northern side of Mallorca. With an entrance over six metres high, the building's simplicity and elegance have been key to the design created by architect Sebastián Pieras and his Spaiarquitectura team.
Measuring almost 1,000 square metres on four floors, with a terrace and an infinity pool with a waterfall, the house overlooks Alcudia bay in one of the choicest locations in the Balearics. The house blends in perfectly with its surroundings, thanks to the use of local marble, PORCELANOSA Group's natural collections and its glazed walls, which unify the interior and exterior.
The continuity of the flooring also contributes directly to maintaining the same ambience throughout the property. Sebastián Pieras has opted for Porcelanosa's premium Bottega Caliza Nature Antislip series for the terrace and poolside area, to ensure safety and the requisite technical standards.
Bottega Caliza Nature, with a cement finish and original greyish reflections, runs through the wide picture windows and a front door which is over six metres high, continuing into the kitchen, living room, bathrooms and dining room. Installed using Butech's adhesive system with colorstuk, the light-coloured floor takes full advantage of the sun's rays to create a sensation of space and light.
On the main floor, which is accessed via "the highest door in Spain in a residential building", according to the architect himself, we find the kitchen. Gamadecor's Emotions E 4.70 units, the Krion® K-LIFE 1100 countertop and Noken taps create a minimalist style and simple lines with a modern touch.
In line with this approach, the bathrooms feature Porcelanosa Glacier XL wall tiles and PAR-KER® Vancouver Nude flooring, on which Butech's Shower Deck system has been installed. This innovative shower tray is flush with the floor, the channels necessary for drainage being hidden under it.
The soft tones of PAR-KER® Vancouver Nude contrast subtly with the RAS countertop and the Krion® Solid Slim free-standing bathtub.
The bathroom is completed with Noken's Forma taps and the SmartBox thermostatic sprinkler system.
The property also comprises a spacious garage, a gym, a wine cellar, two separate utility rooms and a solarium-terrace on the roof, paved with Bottega Caliza by Porcelanosa and featuring a raised floor by Butech with views of this privileged setting.
As the architect himself says, this is "a flagship project" facing the sea.
