Located in Las Rozas, Reyes house has been one of the project finalists in the lastest edition of the Architecture and Interior Design Awards , organised by PORCELANOSA Grupo, where the architect in charge of the project, Marta González Alonso, has banked on the quality of Porcelanosa materials in order to bring the project to life.
With an area of 500 square metres and with wonderful views of the mountains that surround Madrid, this detached house has been designed like a set of U-shaped volumes, with access gained from outside by a stairway integrated in the garden and rounded off by an overflowing sheet of water.
Its rooms are set out on the ground floor following the logical concept of “domus romana” and the highest communication between communal and private areas. Public spaces are located in the central part and on the side, and what’s more, we can find private areas in one of the wings of the house. All of that, with a fully glazed interior central patio with direct views from any part of the house of a never-ending swimming pool.
The only floor designed is the first floor, where we can find the office that is accessible from the lounge from a raised staircase. A lounge with a feeling of spaciousness which connects on one hand with the kitchen and living room, and on the other hand, with the module of the rooms.
The master bedroom has been designed like a box of white stone floating above water. A sublime concept for a feeling of rocking and exquisite relaxation.
With the cutting-edge technology used in all the facilities, the whole house counts on the rectified porcelain tiles. Canada Copper (Venis) model used as a floor tile in the lounge, kitchen and bathrooms, providing the rooms with spaciousness and continuity.
With regard to bathrooms design, Marmi China Blanco wall tile by Porcelanosa has been the choice together with the Noken bathroom equipment in the Giro series of wall hung sanitarywares and the Lounge bathroom taps collection, designed by Simone Micheli. All together, being hand in hand with the double washbasins made of KRION® Solid Surface in the master bathroom and the Maya model by L’Antic Colonial in the rest of the bathrooms.
The architect Marta González Alonso, always in pursuit of the highest excellence in her projects, has carried out a practical inspirational house where the space design is able to go a step further and create emotions in the people that live there.
