The curiosity and desire for innovating in terms of home interiors made Maria Esterlich Rossello design a new building scheme for the PORCELANOSA Grupo's central showroom.
Her design, which reached the final in the student category at the 11th PORCELANOSA Grupo Architecture and Interior Design Awards, mixes lightness and harmonious complex shapes through the simple lines and materials from the firm.
This student from: l'Escola d'Art i Superior de Disseny de les Illes Balears, has created a conjunction of binomials where both order and controlled chaos can be seen, which all of its architectural elements have.
Away from the hustle and bustle
A representation of ying and yang which brings classicism and modernity together in each stage of the tour. In it, there are horizontal and curved slats with a mineral skin that blocks out the outside noise. Worldly peace. Natural light.
Throughout the exhibition, there are three stops which meet the services required by the space itself. The reception bench, the shelving with displays and a work area, all define the set up that will greet the visitors. Then, there is a shelf, whose back part is backlit and it works like a screen. This room also incorporates a bathroom and an exhibition of other products from the Group.
In the kitchen and the dining room, horizontal ascending wooden slats are placed. Its arrangement manages to cover the entire roof, forming an independent atmosphere compared to the rest of the rooms.
Cutting-edge design by KRION® and wood
This project presents two main materials: the KRION® Solid Surface mineral compact, which gives it a cutting-edge touch, and the natural wood belonging to the Advance collection by L’Antic Colonial. Its neutral colour and pristine finish, transmit warmth and a retreat-like feeling which induces bliss: “Al dolce far niente”.
The contrast with the wood is enhanced by the KRION® mineral stone from the Snow White collection, which is also present in the bathroom sanitaryware and in the kitchen sink. Rebuild to build. A delight for the imagination.
