We introduce the third jury member for the 10th PORCELANOSA Grupo Awards, on this occasion, Oscar Lucien.
The Maison Numéro 20 Rive Gauche is, in particular, the decoration and interior architecture studio that is run by the French professional in Saint-Germain des Pres, Paris. This is a renowned space regarding the implementation of bold apartment projects, luxury hotels and restaurants, both in France and in the rest of the world.
Oscar Lucien began his career in 2004 and became the artistic director and creator of the Oscar Ono brand, taking it all over the world for more than 10 years. Furthermore, in 2012, he published the book “Déco a l’école de Oscar Ono”, with a prologue by Alejandro Amenabar, in which the designer tells us about some of the anecdotes and details from his life as an interior architect and decorator. Oscar Lucien also worked as a television journalist, as well as collaborating with renowned design magazines such as NDA, New Design Architecture et d’Amenagement.
Oscar Lucien, who is about to turn 40, understands design from a new perspective. As a designer, he feels the need to take new ideas to the world and transmit that taste for modernity and innovation, together with that beautiful way of looking at life. The difficult world in which we live today is a cruel and unfair place, and he claims that we need a new way of living, which could be possible through beautiful and amazing materials that provide things with a new meaning.
From his “Number 20 House”, Oscar Lucien places value on all those elements, creating interior designs with huge scope, along with traces of tradition and modernity, and with his own personal seal. In addition to that taste for detail that he provides for all his projects, he is a real chromatic universe enthusiast: in reddish tones, orange tones or metallic reflections in bronze, copper or gold, always looking for the most elegant of contrasts.
Oscar Lucien will be on the jury at the 10th PORCELANOSA Grupo Awards, along with other professionals, such as Ortiz-Leon Arquitectos; Sandra Tarruella and Tim Bowder-Ridger from Conran + Partners.
