The 10th PORCELANOSA Grupo Awards Jury: Conran and Partners

The English architect, Tim Bowder-Ridger, is the last one to be added to the jury at the 10th PORCELANOSA Architecture and Interior Design Awards, thus closing the multidisciplinary team of professionals who will be in charge of choosing the best projects submitted in the competition.

Bowder-Ridger is the CEO from the Conran and Partners architecture studio, heading up design management, as well as overseeing the finances and the business operations by the company. All of this gives him not only an architectural view, but also a commercial one.

As a professional, Tim Bowder-Ridger is a passionate architect, who is all about creating experiences focused on the cultural spirit and stressing the importance related to the personality in and around buildings.

His work seeks to portray the necessities and lifestyle wishes both locally and internationally, always trying to find functionality and building renovation in his projects.

As the CEO of Conran and Partners, Bowder-Ridger oversees numerous strategical projects of different sizes in different parts of the world. One of the most recent examples is the renovation and adaptation of the Centre Point Tower in London. A building dating back to the 60s which was initially created as a financial centre, and one which Bowder-Ridger and Conran and Partners have turned into a residential building, by reinventing its functionality and giving it a new lease of life.

One of the other star projects is the reinvention of the Blake tower in the Barbican centre in London. This work has been focused on the renewal of a residential space built in 1970, where 800 new houses, community equipment and a school have been included with the aim of encouraging urban development in the local community.

Tim Bowder-Ridger has won several awards and has got extensive experience in the construction of new buildings and restoration of old buildings, both in the residential and the commercial sector, with a special focus on the development and growth in cities.

At present, he is the head of the international expansion of Conran and Partners, a studio which aims to became a benchmark in architecture around the world, by remaining true to its stance regarding the protection of architecture and design democratisation.

So, we conclude the introduction of the 10th PORCELANOSA Grupo Awards jury members, in which Ortiz Leon Architects Oscar Lucien from Maison Numero 20 Rive Gauche and Sandra Tarruella from the Tarruella Trench Studio are also included.
