The eight firms of the PORCELANOSA Group made a positive impact in participating in Cersaie 2014, held at BolognaFiere. The great attendance at the Group’s exhibition area, which this year was extended to 600 square metres, is the clearest proof of the interest shown in its new collections.
One of the reasons for great expectations at the PORCELANOSA Group stand at Cersaie 2014 is the spectacular Krion® facade, formed by a structure of vertical slats laid out in zig-zag with the coverings by Porcelanosa and Venis, and the new, industrial collections of XLight extrafine, large format porcelain by Urbatek.
More than 100,000 visitors of 150 nationalities attended this twentieth edition of the exhibition, which gathered 945 exhibitors (45 more than the previous year) from around 40 countries. With these attributes, the exhibition reasserted itself as one of the essential events for architects, interior designers and fitters, confirming its powerful role “as the motor of international trade”.
The Porcelanosa Group has increased its efforts not only with a larger space, but also by developing new products and systems for contemporary interior design and architecture.
New covering products such as the new hydraulics of the Barcelona collection from Porcelanosa, the Newport relieves by Venis, and the Ciclik technical porcelain by Urbatek, using 90% recycled materials, are some of the most representative ceramic innovations.
In the bathroom category, the elegance of the Chelsea collection by Noken and the Dess bathroom furniture by Gamadecor were alongside the Minim and Faces series designed by Ramón Esteve with the natural materials of L’Antic Colonial.
Kitchens also played a large role with the new Emotions Rooms concept by Gamadecor, where the furniture serves to differentiate atmospheres with a unified design.
Butech had its own space, as in previous exhibitions, dedicated to its technical solutions, where it presented its new installation materials and the most cutting-edge building systems which emphasise efficiency.
Toyo Ito shares his vision of architecture at Cersaie 2014
One of the main attractions at Cersaie 2014 was the talk given by architect Toyo Ito in front of over 1,100 people. Winner of six Pritzker awards, with this talk he shared his experience and knowledge with the exhibition’s visitors. Additionally, “Cersaie Designs your Home” received an excellent welcome, an initiative intended to advise people on redecorating their homes, in which numerous clients participated.
