Today we find ourselves seduced by the originality of the design by Diego Solano Brenes, undergraduate student in Interior Design at the Universidad Veritas de San José (Costa Rica) university, which is among the finalist projects of the latest edition of the PORCELANOSA Group’s Architecture and Interior Design Awards. The Costa Rican student has designed a showroom which perfectly reflects the personality of the eight firms of the Group, marked by the search for distinctiveness, quality and internationalisation; hallmarks that the designer identifies with the spirit of his own country, committed to progress. This is why Diego Solano has proposed a central location in one of the most emblematic buildings of the capital of Costa Rica, the Edificio Metálico, an aesthetic and historical symbol of the roots of the country.Under the title “Habitem Porcelanosa” (Let’s live in Porcelanosa), the designer invites the visitor to discover the personality of the eight firms of the Group through other units which display the products and applied materials, exemplifying their use in an innovative and attractive way. With all of this, the designer seeks to break with the typical prototype of a showroom, giving all the importance to the experience of the professional or user visiting the exhibition looking for ideas and solutions. A soft lighting which avoids shadows marks the route to offer a warm atmosphere all around the innovative products of the firms which form PORCELANOSA Group.Don’t miss the complete album on Flickr about this project, checkit out following this link.
