Located in Adams-Morgan, Washington DC, next to the Scottish Rite Temple, the development celebrates the natural and urban landscapes alike, resulting in a timeless architectural expression.
Designed by architecture studio CORE architecture + design, the complex was a finalist in the Porcelanosa International Project Award thanks to the unique and distinctly rhythmic design of the Butech ventilated façade, clad in XTONE® ceramic tiles.
The Silva is located in the historic Meridian Hill district of Washington DC in the area around the Scottish Rite Temple, a building which served as an inspiration when selecting the complementary materials and colours used. The concept brings together advances in construction performance, promoting the comfort and wellbeing of residents through sustainable principles. The unique, rhythmic positioning of the windows that give shape to the façade is a clever way of increasing the available living space in each projection, redirecting the views. 172 connected spaces, with amenities including a gym, courtyard garden, indoor lounge area, rooftop terrace with a pool, and more.
An oasis in the streets of Washington
The residential development is home to a café, along with a landscaped roof terrace with views of the National Mall, the United States Capitol Building and the Washington Monument. Incorporating these spaces into The Silva creates a sense of wellbeing and connection with other residents and the wider neighbourhood.
