Today, the Salone del Mobile in Milan opens its doors in order to offer the big audience the latest trends in innovation, quality and design internationally. Among the most highlighted spaces one can find the EuroCucina 2016, an area which is reserved for high technology regarding the kitchen equipment, where the sophisticated stand of PORCELANOSA Group is located.
The stand
It is like a high illuminated volume covering a space that mixes and matches both colour and reflection. This is the 300m2 stand of PORCELANOSA Group at EuroCucina, where the KRION® Solid Surface mineral compact plays a very important role. A large canopy with backlit vertical lattice slats manufactured with KRION® , that not only stretch out over the framework of the stand but also marks out the area and provides it with an identity, thanks to an outstanding optical illusion which is changing depending on one’s viewing point.
With regard to space, it is divided into nine areas, all of them arranged according to the colour mass. Four big boxes placed in the four corners of the stand allocate the kitchens, by means of both mixing and matching colour, reflection and spaciousness which is highlighted thanks to the use of mirrors on the ceiling cladding. The central cross, however, is the area which is reserved for other products and materials from the firm, such as the Experience bathroom, the wardrobes and dressing rooms, the commercial area, the counter area and the living.
The Kitchens
Four kitchen atmospheres are highlighted at PORCELANOSA Group’s stand at the Salone del Mobile. Two of them bear the stamp of the renowned architect Ramón Esteve, who brings with him to Milan his Premium concept of high exclusivity, luxury and elegance. The third kitchen atmosphere, however, is done by the three-Michelin-star awarded chef, Quique Dacosta, and his kitchen with the worktop manufactured with the Solid Surface, “Porcelanosa kitchen with Quique Dacosta”. The fourth kitchen atmosphere firmly backs Gamadecor and its Emotions® kitchen furniture.
By means of an aesthetical minimal-vintage contrast, and thanks to both the e7.70 and e5.70 models, this kitchen is presented with a horizontal built-in handle in the front and with a profile set up in ‘J’. With regard to the finishes, on one hand, one can find the Alabastro gloss finish in the column area; whilst on the other hand, the “vintage-effect” Pure Oak finish is present in the rest of the modulation. The worktop is natural quartzite, in the Amarula Vintage finish, which is a very classical rustic effect, intermingled with the minimalist lines of the set. The atmosphere is completed with an oak board table in a half-herringbone pattern and in a Pure Oak finish; and four chairs from the Seven series, with both a textured oak and mirror finish.
The Wardrobes and dressing rooms
From the Emotions® series by Gamadecor, one can also find the wardrobe/dressing room, which covers one of the main atmospheres at the stand. An excellent design with glass cabinets in a bronze finish and aluminium decorative profiles in a metal finish. The model selected for the dressing room modulation has been the e7 model, which has been manufactured in both a carved oak veneer and in a Leather Oak finish.
The counter area
The counter area is joined to the front of the stand, providing the space with a visual continuation, from the outside to the inside. The KRION® taupé dominates this area, showing both the counter and the wall covering off. The introduction of the ceramic floor tiles from the PORCELANOSA Group in this area, like the Aston Antracita colourfully coordinated with a natural wood roof, Mini Eden 1L Dark Grey, which strengthens the lattice at the bottom of the counter.
The Commercial area
The commercial area is home to product samples belonging to firms such as Gamadecor, Noken, Systempool, L’Antic Colonial, Venis and Porcelanosa. They make up the sales stand furniture in acrylic stone by KRION®, integrating itself as well with televisions for the reproduction of corporate videos. As well as this, this area includes four prisms in smokey grey mirrors, that serve as both a desk and digital support.
The Living area
An asymmetric sofa Works as a central element in order to make the circular tour of the space easier. Some vertical pivoting slats which are ceramic wall-tiled separate this kitchen atmosphere in a high elegant subtle way. The ceramic covering the slats is the Technic Dark Lined, whilst on the other hand, roofs and walls are from the Contract Cotton Linkfloor, which is combined with the natural Mini Eden Light Greay wooden flooring.
Bathroom. Vitae by Zaha Hadid
The last atmosphere is done by Noken and its latest collection Vitae. A bathroom design set up by the Zaha Hadid Design studio, which is inspired by the movement of water.
