Susana Martín Wanton, a student from CICE Madrid, is another finalist at the latest 9th PORCELANOSA Architecture and Interior Design Awards in the Students Forward-Looking Projects, thanks to her “Empire of the Senses” concept-store. A project, that masterfully combines gastronomy with design.
With spectacular views and finishes, along with the best quality products and materials from the PORCELANOSA Group, this market-kitchen boasts both splendor and minimalist comfort. An interior design that looks to the future through its vibrant shapes, and at the same time, it retains small touches that are not only classic but authentic as well.
In “Empire of the Senses”, a cutting-edge material such as the KRION® Solid Surface compact mineral is combined with marble and granite from L’Antic Colonial: Habana Brown, Habana Dark, black Marquina or Lavander. These occupy mainly the kitchen countertops and work spaces. The porcelain inspired by natural stone has been used for the wall tiles. Quality, resistance and easy maintenance on walls for a demanding space, which is achieved through a series such as Arizona Stone from Porcelanosa or Fantasy Blue from Venis.
Meanwhile, we find the KRION® acrylic stone on ceilings, walls and furniture in both dynamic and original shapes, made through its thermocurvability. One feature that provides the project with easy cleaning, high resistance and antibacterial properties. The star colour from KRION®, 1100 Snow White, stands out but there are other colour variants as well, such as the 1903 Grey in the store.
With regard to its interior layout, Susana Martin thought up for her “Empire of the Senses” several multifunctional areas that linked at the same processing point and culinary tasting. An ideal place for get togethers for both family and friends, in which sharing unforgettable moments in a great gastronomical project space is most certainly possible. The innovation in the most creative and innovative recipes is the leitmotiv of this project, as well as the high-quality materials and elegance, which not only create a unique and creative atmosphere, but a vibrant and airy one as well, thanks to an intense feeling regarding the natural light.
