The 8th PORCELANOSA Awards: Belén Moneo, Honorary Award

In the latest edition of the Architecture and Interior Decoration Awards, PORCELANOSA Groupwanted to highlight the contribution of Belen Moneo Feduchi for spreading the word about Spanish architecture, both as an architect and its teaching aspect, with an Honorary Award given at the Ritz hotel Madrid during the cocktail gala dinner.

Belonging to a third generation family of architects, Belen Moneo graduated Cum Laude in Art History and Visual Arts at Harvard University and later did a Master’s in Architecture at Columbia University, where she worked as a professor.

In 1993 she founded the Moneo Brock Studio in New York, together with Jeff Brock, with a multidisciplinary approach ranging from architectural and interior design, to raids on industrial design. Among other notable projects, she collaborated with Rafael Moneo’s studio in such notable projects as the Museum of Modern Art and Architecture in Stockholm or the laboratories of the University of Columbia.

Nowadays, from the Moneo Brock Studio headquarters in Madrid, they design, manage and carry out projects worldwide, such as the Parish Church in Monterrey, where construction is already underway.
