Signature space by Eduardo Souto de Moura for L’Antic Colonial

Just like each year, L’Antic Colonial has counted on the experience and know-how of renowned professionals to renovate the showroom area of its facilities. One of the spaces which particularly stood out during the 21st International PORCELANOSA Group Exhibition was by Eduardo Souto de Moura, one of the greatest Portuguese contemporary architects.

In a small space of just 25 square metres, Souto de Moura has created a completely habitable home where cream colours and natural stone prevail. A central dividing element, which serves as a closet and storing cabinet, separates day rooms such as the kitchen and living room from private spaces like the bathroom and bedroom.

The Portuguese architect used Calgary Classico BIOprot natural stone as a flooring and in the different rooms to achieve bright finishes which increase the sensation of spaciousness and give continuity to the whole home.

The author used pure and simple lines to create cosy and comfortable rooms for the inhabitants. The taste for minimalism is constant in the impeccable career of Eduardo de Souto de Moura, who has also been awarded with the 2011 Pritzker Prize and 2013 Wolf Prize.
