The 11th Porcelanosa Awards: sensory architecture for the Masías single-family home

The Dobleese Space&Branding studio is one of the finalists in the category of Completed Projects.

Ston-Ker, Urbatek, KRIONTM, Venis and Noken Porcelanosa Bathrooms are the chosen firms which give the project a free-flowing aesthetic where geometry and textures are the absolute standouts.

The contrast between the traditional roots of Moncada and its university atmosphere is portrayed in this finalist project at the 11th Architecture and Interior Design Porcelanosa Awards. Working for the Dobleese Space&Branding studio, Sara Sánchez Roig presents a design that puts the architectural volumes at the service of the user’s experience, which creates captivating atmospheres.

Experiential design

The Masías single-family home has three overlapping volumes in its structure, which make the house envelope noticeable, as well as the geometric purity of its arrangement. We are dealing with geometry which becomes stronger with the use of the Ston-Ker Avenue Dark ceramic wall tile and the rough white coating, whose textures enhance the architecture haptic quality.

The exterior blends in with the environment through the  greyish through-body porcelain floor tile from Urbatek, thanks to the overhangs and the natural touches of stone and water. A concept which goes well with the user’s five senses in the interior, where the texture and tone transitions liven up the space.

The transitions between rooms create light thresholds with the Concept Premium Gris Britch floor tile from Venis on the top floor.

Aesthetic integration in white, nude and grey

The kitchen matches with the interior set thanks to the worktop manufactured with the KRIONTM Solid Surface in a pure white. An aesthetic which, has continuity in the guest bathroom with: the TACO Oxford PAR-KER ceramic parquet wall tile,  the ad-hoc basin manufactured with KRIONTM and the Essence wall-hung sanitaryware from Noken Porcelanosa Bathrooms.

The main bathroom is separated from the room by a half-open wall on both sides to create a feeling of spaciousness. The parameters and ceiling have been manufactured with the XLight extra-slim ceramic. The basin taps, the shower taps, the shower heads and hand showers, all come from Noken Porcelanosa Bathrooms.

We finish off in the children’s bathroom, which gives the room a dynamic vision through the Glaciar wall tile from Venis.
