Rafael de La-Hoz was given an honorary award for his contribution to the development of Spanish architecture worldwide during the seventh edition of the Architecture and Interior Design Awards organised by PORCELANOSA Group.
The architect has had his own studio for two decades; being a very active and internationally renowned company that develops projects in Spain, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and France.
The architect from Cordoba believes that “architecture should reach the smallest and biggest projects, from urban planning to the tiniest of details, as everything is a way of understanding a space whilst occupying, perceiving and enjoying it”.
Among his most important works is the Rey Juan Carlos de Móstoles hospital, las Torres de Hércules and the ‘Daoíz y Velarde’ cultural centre; and endless works which have won Rafael de La-Hoz many internationally renowned awards and acknowledgements.
Outside of Spain he is currently working on the offices of a renowned Moroccan financing group- which has a tower that will most probably be the highest of Casablanca-; a big legal complex in Riad (Saudi Arabia) and the headquarters of a French multinational in Paris.
