Projects PORCELANOSA Group: Contemporary penthouse in Granada

The contrasts between white and black and matching straight and round lines frame the design furnishing which make up the personality of this 360 square metre penthouse located in the Spanish city of Granada. A refurbishment project overseen by Paco Bou’s studio (Bou Interiorismo) whose aim is that of creating a dynamic modern house.

The lack of partition walls makes the space of the house flow. It is laid out on three floors where one can find not only indoor areas but also open patios, and even a terrace with a swimming-pool.

The people in charge of the project have taken into account the quality and style of the PORCELANOSA Group products when equipping the main room’s bathroom in this contemporary-styled penthouse.  Crystal Black porcelain stoneware by Venis has been used when covering the wall which separates the bedroom from the bathroom. It is a high-shine material which makes the space deeper.

Keeping the coherence with the design of the rest of the rooms in the house, the bathroom walls have been covered with Prisma Nacar ceramic wall tiles by Porcelanosa, combined together with the Crystal Black by Venis, with laid out framing the furnishing pieces with the aim of giving them a greater role.

As far as furnishing is concerned, two single wall hung bathroom furnitures of the Lounge collection by Noken in Quilted white have been used, in line with the diamond-shaped design of the ceramic wall tiles. The round mirrors and the bathroom taps are also part of the Lounge collection, created by the Italian designer Simone Micheli for Noken.

Between both parts of the furniture, an auxiliary piece of furniture in white colour has been placed with a double aim: firstly, it can store lots of stuff inside thanks to a drawer for wide storage, and secondly, its upholstered surface makes it useful as a stool.

Separated from the bathroom by a glazed door, we find the most private area, where the wall hung sanitaryware and bidet of the Lounge collection have been set up. Their minimalist elegance contrasts with the white wavy reliefs of the Qatar ceramic wall tiles by Porcelanosa.
