Porcelanosa makes strides in Mexico with new designs and stores

The ceramics multinational has opened a new showroom in Artz Pedregal with comprehensive solutions for major projects, and is showing its support for local architects’ talent at the Feria Obra Blanca and Design Week Mexico 2021.

Porcelanosa is consolidating its brand in Mexico with the opening of a new 366 m2 showroom in the Artz Pedregal (Grupo Sordo Madaleno) shopping centre. Having had a presence in the country for 20 years, the ceramics multinational is expanding its commercial network, taking it to a total of eight stores and consolidating its position nationwide. “Artz Pedregal is the perfect location to promote Porcelanosa’s collections amongst the general public, in an open and stimulating way. This is a display space that offers a new take on the shopping experience, with more sophisticated materials and a new vision of interior design” explains a Porcelanosa Mexico representative.

An innovative space in Artz Pedregal

Its interior room schemes give visitors the chance to get up close to the qualities and textures of ceramic floor and wall tiles, wood, natural stone, construction systems, sustainable bathrooms and infinite kitchens from the Group’s seven firms. “The Artz Pedregal store is responding to society’s needs with innovation, sustainable design and wellbeing as the foundations of improving people’s quality of life“.

Porcelanosa: supporting Mexican architecture

Through official collaborations and individual consultations, the showroom is strengthening relationships between the Spanish company and the country’s architects and designers. This same mutual support can be seen in the 10 out of 10 Project, an initiative which Porcelanosa is participating in, along with ten of the country’s best architecture firms (Angulo Arquitectura, Andrés Saavedra, Caral Arquitectos, Cibrián Arquitectos, DG Arquitectos, Melo, Mimesis, Quadra Interiores, Soler Orozco Arquitectos and Taller 10.5) from 7 October.

Recruiting and promoting new talent is another of the multinational’s key priorities, which is why it will be attending Design Week Mexico 2021 alongside local designers until 31 October. Porcelanosa will have two exclusive rooms, designed by architects Bernardi+Peschard and C Cubica Arquitectos. They’ll give visitors the chance to see a new, original take on the use of Sea Silver and Treville wood.

Obra Blanca, the largest exhibition of materials and finishing technologies for major architectural projects, is another essential fixture this season. From 12 to 14 October, the multinational company will have its latest collections and construction systems on display in a stand spanning more than 400 square metres. The space will comprise a kitchen, living area, seven bathrooms and several technical areas. XTONE® sintered mineral compact and Altissima natural stone by Urbatek, infinite and resistant Krion® surfaces, natural wood from L’ac and futuristic taps by Noken are just some of the highlights on show at the exhibition. “This year we’ve focused on environmentally-friendly large format products that offer wellbeing, functionality and design“, confirms a Porcelanosa representative.
