The eight brands that make up this multinational company boost the profile and scope of Spanish design through avant-garde, timeless and eclectic collections

Signature bathrooms, eco-sustainable materials, such as Krion™, and ceramic collections based on stone and wood are some of the featured proposals

The IMM Cologne international fair, held in the German city of Cologne until 19 January, plays host to the latest collections from PORCELANOSA Group, boosting the international profile of Spanish design.

This event, one of the most important in the world for learning about the latest decoration and furniture trends, has been attended by the eight brands of this multinational company: Porcelanosa, Venis, Gamadecor, L’Antic Colonial, Butech, Noken, Urbatek and Krion.

With an average of 150,000 visitors (official figure from 2019), a great number of professionals from 145 countries attend this fair. In fact, the percentage of international visitors represents 52% of the total, with China, North America, Canada, South America and Europe being some of the regions with the greatest presence.

Design and innovation for bathrooms

The PORCELANOSA Group stand is located in area C029 Hall 4.2 and is divided into various spaces. For the reception, the new Macauba Blue Polished collection from Urbatek has been used, as well as the compact XTONE surface that also gives shape to the counters in the space and the bookmatching effect at the entrance.

A minimalist aesthetic based on black and grey has been chosen for the main bathrooms. This is the colour scheme followed by the Bottega Antracita wall tile from Porcelanosa and the Blind bathroom unit from Gamadecor. This balanced and geometrical ensemble is complemented by Porcelanosa’s white Deco Matt wall tile, the signature Lignage tap (designed by the architect Ramón Esteve for Noken) and the Lounge Square bath, also by Noken.

To create a spacious and limitless room, the Pro Part and Pro Mate 3 decorative profiles from Butech have been installed. Its Metal Moon and Black aluminium finishes create a bathroom with almost imperceptible joints, enhancing the neutral colours.

In the second bathroom, next-generation materials such as the compact mineral Krion Shell™ have been chosen to shape the Line shower tray. This piece gives continuity to the space as a whole, in which the Noken Round taps with the black finish have also been incorporated, in addition to Butech’s electric underfloor heating mat, Starwood‘s Vancouver Nude ceramic wood (main floor tile), the Urban Caliza Nature and Limit Urban Caliza Nature floor tiles from Venis or Gamadecor’s Last bathroom unit.
