Located in one of the most strategic places on the island of Taipei, the Taipei Fuhsing hotel belongs to the prestigious chain, The Tango. It has become one of the most popular places to stay in the Chinese region of Taiwan for travellers and tourists alike, above all for its close proximity to both monuments and key parts of the city, such as the Taipei Songshan airport, the MRT Nanjing East Road underground station and the Taipei Arena.
According to the contemporary aesthetics of The Tango hotel chain establishments, the Taipei Fuhsing opted for the PORCELANOSA Group solid surface, Krion®, in order to make its modern reception desk. With a very striking backlit effect, hotel guests are able to locate both the information and check-in desks in the blink of an eye.
The designer, Gary Chou, has been in charge of the hotel’s interior design project for the Jia Ton Interior Design Co. Ltd, counting on the Hong Wei International Transforming Company to carry out the work on the manufacturing of the desk.
To get the original look of the reception, the technique of low relief back lighting on the desk has been used, getting a quarry look, in line with the effect of the rear panel of the reception. The desk is finished with two cubes at both ends, also made of the compact mineral Krion® with the same technique.
The whiteness of Krion®, besides the light given off by the piece, help to enhance the bright desk that contrasts with the sobriety of the coverings, contributing to the current aesthetics of the hall, an atmosphere of harmony that invites one to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city.
