PORCELANOSA Group Projects: A house with a Nordic style in Sierra Nevada

The Saz Arquitectos architecture studio has incorporated several collections from the main companies from the Group.

The large-sized porcelain tile, the marble finishes and the signature bathrooms are some of the main attractions in this home.

In the quiet and peaceful town of La Zubia (“place of retreat” or “hermitage” according to its Arab origins), there is this large Nordic-style house, designed by the Saz Arquitectos studio. A few metres from the Sierra Nevada Natural Park (Granada), this house has a diaphanous structure which allows its rooms to be open to the outside. The natural light which sneaks into the rooms highlights each of the elements inside this house, where various collections from six of the eight companies belonging to the PORCELANOSA Group have been incorporated

White light with dark wall tiles

Textures based on stone and marble define the personality of this house, which has incorporated the Thassos Pulido collection by Porcelanosa in the living room and the Boston rectified porcelain tile in the Bone finish. This floor tile is inspired by ancient stone and its worn tone provides an industrial touch to the spaces. The same aesthetic line which is followed by the Metropolitan Antracita collection by Venis or the Ocean Caliza, also from the company.

The white lighting that complements the Maker Ice collection, contrasts with the dark wall tiles, matching perfectly with other lighter ones. The large-sized Concrete collection by Urbatek in the Black Nature and Beige Nature finishes make up the outdoor area of this house. To cover the patio area, the Savage XLIGHT collection by Urbatek with its Dark Polished finish has been used.

The Colorstuk joints by Butech in the: White, Ivory, Anthracite, Manhattan and Beige tones; together with the Kit Imperband refurbishment showers waterproof system and the 3mm self-leveling crosshead, all helped towards enhancing the quality of the ceramic materials used.

Cutting-edge wall hung bathrooms

In the bathroom, wall hung toilets from the Essence C, Hotels and Mood series by Noken have been chosen. The elegance of these spaces lies in the Lounge bathtub, which is combined with the chrome finish shower head from the same series. The Lounge collection is an exclusive design created by the architect, Simone Micheli, where the straight and sinuous shapes of this equipment stand out.

The RAS KrionTM material compact countertops, together with the Almond half built-in basins, enhance the cutting-edge aesthetic of the bathrooms. This piece can be installed on countertops of any material, and furthermore, its iconic design brings beauty and ergonomics together.

Excellence, aesthetic balance and technology.

Gamadecor incorporates the IN bathroom furniture in a glossy finish, as well as CICLO and NEXT in matt finishes. Pieces that have combined classic and cutting-edge designs, which have created a new design scheme through wood, glass and lacquers.
