Situated in the coastal city of Le Baule in France, this family residence is an example of how blue, when combined with earth tones, is capable of providing calmness and tranquility. A style which is not only Mediterranean and fresh but also elegant, which the architect, Julio Valiela, has achieved by banking on the amplitude and open areas. The absence of doors that separate the main areas of the house makes the spaces look bigger, improving the entertainment and family get-togethers at the same time.

Modern art in the living-room

The walls of the main room in the house are full of pieces of contemporary art, reflecting a careful design and an example of functionality. Designed as an L-shaped space, the table is used as a passageway between the kitchen and the living room, making the traffic easier and enhancing the sensation of spaciousness. In the dining- room, the large pearly white sofa is the main attraction, contrasting with the bluish tones of the furniture and decor. In the chromatic range of earth colours, wood is integrated through the floor and a large shelf. The floor tile is the Legend 1L Light parquet by L’Antic Colonial, installed in an area of 160m.

Earth tones in the bathrooms

Each one of the five bathrooms in the house has a particular style which distinguishes them all from the rest. At the same time, they all have a common look: the colours used. Julio Valiela has opted for floor tiles and wall tiles in earth tones and a stone effect, with the quality from PORCELANOSA Group. Versatility, durability and easy maintenance through collections such as Next of Gamadecor, Boston Topo and Deco Boston Topo by Porcelanosa, or Nara Basic Beige and Newport Natural by Venis.

The Starwood Tanzania Almond ceramic wood, with great technical and aesthetic quality has been chosen for the floor tiles in these rooms; while the equipment, carried out by Noken, provides technology and practicality. Among some of the other models, we find the wall-hung toilets with a built-in cistern from the Arquitect collection; the Urban and NK Concept taps, the latter with a cold opening system; furniture from the Kole and Next series and the Land shower tray as well.

In the bathrooms, the Urbatek company is also present with the Moon White collection and the extra-slim XLight Savage Dark porcelain tile, which transmits a premium character to the space.

A kitchen in blue tones and a big cellar complete the interior design of this exclusive house in Le Baule.
