Alejandra Lopez-Garcia, Deputy Chief of Mission of Spanish Embassy was the honorable guest at the inauguration ceremony of Porcelanosa Design Competition Exhibition on Wednesday, April 25th 2018 at the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), Agargaon. The event was followed by a lecture by Ar. Jesus Aparicio, practicing architect, educator and accomplished architectural author from Madrid, Spain. The lecture, which was open to all art and architecture enthusiasts, focused on Aparicio’s Klippan Award nominated project, Horizon House- title of the lecture- “The Architect’s Gaze at the Horizon House”. Ar. Kazi Golam Nasir, President of Executive Council of IAB presented a memorabilia crest to the guest.
Ar. Jesus was visiting Dhaka to join the jury panel of the aforementioned design competition organized by Porcelanosa Associate, Nupami BD Ltd., in collaboration with IAB. He was a juror alongside notable architects- Mustafa Ameen, Marina Tabassum, Ramir Gil Peris and renowned industrial designer, A.M. Saadullah (Tutu). Architects all over the country registered through competition website and submitted both models and conceptual designs. The winners of each category has been selected by the jury and will be honored soon at an upcoming prize-giving ceremony.

Nupami BD Ltd. was founded in 2013 by partners from Bangladesh and Spain to become the sole associate of Porcelanosa Group in the country.
