Jean-Jacques Ory is a graduate in architecture DPLG, He got a degree with honours in 1970 from the School of Fine Arts in Paris. Nine years later, Ory created his architectural studio, carrying out the refurbishment of the landmark building, the “Parisien Liberé” in the Parisian street rue des Petites Ecuries. Several years later, the professionals Ribereau Jean-Gayon; Jean-Pierre Duvert and Tanaka YOU joined his project, creating and making up what would become in 2013, with the accession of five partners, Studios d’Arquitecture ORY & Associés.
This architectural studio currently has around 75 employees, who are responsible for prestigious projects in four departments: The Image and Creation Department; the Architecture Department; the Interior Design Department; and Works Department. All these areas work together to ensure that clients get a comprehensive architectural or interior design project with confidence, quality and assurance, from the project design and management, to its later development.
In relation to the Intervention area, it is noteworthy that the architectural studio headed by Jean-Jacques Ory diversified into many areas, from refurbishment to new project creation, both in homes, hotels and residential resorts, as well as in stores or facilities. Moreover, Studios d’Arquitecture ORY & Associés team is an expert in the refurbishment area, as well as in performance in public works and projects.
With a great reputation in the metropolitan area of Paris, Studios d’Arquitecture ORY & Associés has also had the opportunity to make its mark in other French cities such as Lyon, Toulouse, Nantes, Cannes, Antibes, Chambery, Aix en Provence, La Rochelle, Saint Quentin, etc. With international appearance, Jean-Jacques Ory developed the study of a demanding Tower project in Dubai, or equipment project in Casablanca, as well as the residential and office building refurbishment in Warsaw.
Jean-Jacques Ory jury will share at the 9th Porcelanosa Awards with Julio Touza, from Touza Architects; Ramón Esteve, from Ramón Esteve Architecture and Design; Ariane Steinbeck, from RPW Design; and Scott Ziegler, from Ziegler Cooper Architects, who will assess jointly the best projects submitted in Future Projects and Completed Projects at this 2016 edition.
