PORCELANOSA Group Projects: VV Bolnuevo Floating House, Murcia (Spain)

MUHER studio (Manuel Herrera y Francisca Muñoz) was the designer of this spectacular home located on a cliff on the coast of Murcia.

Inspiration for the design of the floating comes from marine areas, being surrounded by an infinity pool which blends in with the Mediterranean Sea shining on the horizon. In fact, you access the upper floor by means of an Ecostyledeck wooden sheet bridge by L´Antic Colonial, as if it were a ship. This same element was used to visually connect the indoor and outdoor spaces.

In line with the marine concept, the spacious kitchen features a central island in white Krion® combined with Gamadecor kitchen furniture. Furthermore, the bedrooms are located on the lower floor, just like a yacht, with transparent glass walls which allow you to see the bottom of the pool, making you feel as if the house is underwater. This effect also gives a metaphorical feeling to the main bedroom’s shower area with a Systempool shower screen. Finally, the Buddha washbasin in Marquina black marble by L´Antic Colonial with the Lounge taps by Noken, stand out like a sculpture in the lounge area in a gap that allows you to look on to the Balinese style gardens.

Shades of white and grey define this house, turning the swimming-pool’s blue tiles into the main feature; the latter being covered in dark blue stoneware by Porcelanosa which merges with the sea.
