The architecture firm Eric Colbert & Associates has renovated The Envoy Apartments using the most exclusive PORCELANOSA Group collections

With Meridian Hill Park in front, The Envoy Apartments represent the eclectic architecture of Washington DC, blending the neoclassical and industrial styles in a nod to the avant-garde art movement that reached its peak in the 1970s.
This is the artistic trend followed by Eric Colbert & Associates, the architecture firm responsible for renovating the building with collections from the PORCELANOSA Group.
The power of light
The apartments in this complex have a series of large windows that allow outside light to filter through, thus magnifying the feeling of spaciousness. All the pieces are integrated into the space seamlessly using the Pro-Mate 5 Chrome decorative profiles by Butech.
The firm also added the windproof external raised technical floor to the rooftop terrace, as this installation lies completely flat and drains rainwater through its open joints. This system allows the tiles from the Rox Coal collection by Urbatek to be fitted to the support and adapt to changes in level while boosting the image and colour of the ceramic.
For the kitchen countertops, the firm used the mineral compact Krion™, as it is antibacterial (stops fungi and bacteria from proliferating), is resistant to extreme temperatures and blows and is non-porous. This hygienic, easy-to-clean material is perfect for these types of spaces.
