PORCELANOSA Group Projects: Technical flooring from Butech elevates the new Cajamar headquarters in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The bank is opening a new branch in the Canary Islands, with an interior featuring PORCELANOSA Group’s most innovative and resistant materials.

With an industrial aesthetic based on grey and beige tones, this diaphanous, outward-facing space is characterised by clean, geometric lines.

The Cajamar Caja Rural bank has opened a new headquarters in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with an interior featuring some of PORCELANOSA Group’s most innovative collections.

Its open, diaphanous structure allows the various areas to be connected by an industrial interior aesthetic based on grey and beige. This chromatic combination is a defining feature of the raised technical floor by Butech, used throughout the branch.

Combining functionality and aesthetics

Using this material means electrical and phone installations can be hidden, broadening the space and giving it a sense of order.

Designed for offices and control rooms, the flooring improves the aesthetics of the space, incorporating a “technical plenum” where technical components can be concealed under the flooring, and increases efficiency when installing the tiles.

Its increased resistance to high temperatures and continuous use means the tiles maintain their appearance for longer, and can easily be exchanged. This system is used in combination with Rhin Gris floor tiles (STON-KER®) from Venis, with a surface inspired by the varied tones of cement and white-toned contrasts which invigorate the rooms.

Butech has also been installed in the branch’s ceilings. The Steel Special II model in white breathes brightness into the offices, whilst also improving sound insulation for improved wellbeing amongst employees.

The terrace has been fitted with Avenue Grey Texture full body porcelain tiling by Urbatek. The tiles reproduce the texture of granite, and the greyish tones unite the interior and exterior under the same aesthetic.

Crisp, eco-efficient bathrooms

The brand image is present throughout all the spaces in the office. It extends to the bathrooms, where the global, sustainable economics Cajamar practises is echoed in the Forma taps by Noken and Urban C sinks, also from the firm.

The collection features a chrome finish and cold-on system. Water consumption can be controlled via the ECO aerator, and the curved lines lend a sense of lightness and originality to the bathrooms.
