Decorator Adriana Nicolau has managed to combine two of her passions in managing the Miss Sushi chain of restaurants, which now have various branches in different locations in Madrid and Valencia. One of the latest to open its doors is in Calle del Prado 2, Madrid, next to the Plaza Santa Ana, a crowded area of the capital and essential meeting point for the social lives of locals and visitors to Madrid.
As in the rest of the restaurants in the chain, the flagship branch of Miss Sushi in Calle de Prado offers diners a unique atmosphere with a chromatic colour scheme which combines white, grey and fuchsia to give colour to the decoration which updates classic interior design through Louis XV style seats, baroque mirrors and romantically styled pieces of furniture. All of this, strategically combined with modern elements, such as the original bar made from Krion®, has become one of the hallmarks of this restaurant chain.
VF Aplicaciones has made the Krion® Snow Lux bar, reminiscent of the logo of the brand, with a cylindrical format upon which rests a petal shaped countertop. Upon this we find the Miss Sushi logo in triplicate, both on the countertop and in front of the counter, illuminated under the countertop. This effect, which simulates an audio-visual projection, contributes to creating the postmodern atmosphere of the branches of the chain.
To complete the look of the restaurant, the designer has chosen the Wet Plus Antracita laminate by L’Antic Colonial as a flooring in the different spaces of the restaurant, while for the terrace the Par-ker® Amsterdam Blanco ceramic parquet by Porcelanosa was chosen. Materials from the Group’s firms were also used in the bathrooms, where washbasins from the Glove collection have been installed with built-in taps from the Libra series, both by Noken. All of this was installed using Butech installation materials for ceramic.
Once more, Adriana Nicolau has relied upon the solid surface by PORCELANOSA Group to consolidate the brand image of this Fresh Restaurant which offers healthy, delicious food inspired by Japanese cooking, but with an urban, European character.
