PORCELANOSA Group Projects: Olympe de Gouges Nursery, le Plessis Trévise, France

The typical happiness and vitality of toddlers is transmitted to perfection in the Olympe de Gouges nursery project in the French town of Plessis-Trévise, in the region of Ile de France.

The main focus in the project by Atelier Pierre Dubus studio was to achieve an aesthetically attractive result which breaks away from the traditional image of neighbouring buildings. The studio used a ventilated façade covered with 12 mm thick Krion® Snow 1100 on both its sides.

A fun feeling was given to the building by mechanising the PORCELANOSA Group solid surface with different colour stars and leaves reliefs- white, raspberry, yellow, orange- maintaining the colourful style that characterises these types of buildings.

Given the special characteristics of this project, the Krion® pieces also come with posterior glass fibre mesh and a special fastening system developed by Butech, thereby achieving a completely safe and secure environment.

The building base was covered with the same type of stone as the old mill next to the current kindergarten, creating a harmonious unit around the building. This combination of materials highlights the project’s objective which was to merge innovating technologies with avant-garde styles.
